Lucifer was dethroned and caste to the ground with his angels because he chose to fight. Adding rebellion unto his sin and multiplied his words (lies) against the living God. He became devil: the personification of evil. The devil deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, by giving them the wrong manual [lie]. The devil was very envious of Man, who would now enjoy what he failed to appreciate before his dethronement. He then devised a means to deceive Adam and Eve to disobey God, in order to strip the glory God bestowed on them to pass on to their generations.
As serpent, he deceived Adam and Eve to be unfaithful as himself and they yielded by eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil of which God commanded them not to eat. It affected man’s spiritual consciousness and wisdom that they could not come to terms with the inspiration of God. There is a spirit in man, but it takes the Spirit of God to give him understanding. Man’s understanding has been corrupted by the reason of disobedience that he is no more perfect in the ways of God.
This unrighteousness led to the separation between man and God and subsequently to degradation of the status of humanity which also affected other things God created. No one can enter into rest with unfaithful lifestyle. One of Satan’s lie is that a man has no predestined purpose in life. ‘For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works. Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.’ (Psalm 78:32-33). Man wants to establish his own invention apart from God’s intention. ‘Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.’ (Ecclesiastes 7:29).————–To be continued.
