IN A TIME LIKE THIS!

CROSSLIKE

We ought to remember this wonderful proclamation. ‘The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee’.

His loving-kindness was manifested in the name of Jesus Christ. His wide spread arms on the Cross of Calvary was a show of humiliation for the worldly but contrary, it was an invitation to all that would trust in His finished work to come and find rest.

God’s righteousness demands that every sin requires punishment, but His unconditional love made it possible to be atoned for, that through grace by faith in Christ Jesus salvation may be received. Jesus Christ came and made all things new through His atoning sacrifice on the cross.

Jesus Christ is the ransom. There is no other way man could be saved from sin that came through Adam other than by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Make peace with God through Jesus Christ. This in essence means living in accordance to His Word. ‘Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.’ (Romans 5:1).

Therefore come to Jesus Christ in humility and ask Him for a steadfast spirit. Forsake pride, fear, shame and guilt. ‘If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleans us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.’ (1 John 1:9-10).

PRAYER OF COMMITMENT: – Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you are the Son of God. And that on the Cross you died for my sin and rose again from the dead. I trust you for forgiveness and for cleansing. I believe that you have received me as the child of God. And because you have received me, I receive myself as a child of God Amen!

  1. Actually, I do believe that death is simply the natural consequence of sin. Punishment serves the purpose of correction, Death is the end, there is no possibility of correction.

    • kyrian777 says:

Death is not the end because man is a spiritual being like God with physical body. The worst thing is the separation from God of those that do not believe on His atonement through Christ Jesus.

But the good news is this!! Salvation is only through the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, ‘For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.’ (Luke 19:10).

Man experienced dispossession through Adams’ disobedience. But by the complete obedience of Jesus Christ, all was restored. ‘And this is the record, that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.’ (1 John 5:11-12).

In addition to the above,‘For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin: that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.’ (2 Corinthians 5:21). God bless you!
