THE JOURNEY BEGINS — 12

Due to our performance-based society, it is easy to forget that God’s acceptance is based on your standing in Christ and not the state of your life at any given time. God accepts and still loves you as much on your bad days as He does on your good ones.

As you place your trust in Christ, God takes all of Christ’s righteousness and clothes you up in it. God only recognizes Christ righteousness and the moment you place your trust in Christ, God wraps you up in it.

Your worth is not based on what you do but on who you are in relationship to Christ. Although your salvation is secure in Christ upon accepting His Lordship, your reward and rest is based on your stewardship here on earth. Although God wants you to do good works, His desire is for you to fulfil His purpose.

He wants you to do the right thing for the right reason and motive. It should be out of love for Him and not your own thing. Every good idea may not be God’s intended idea. As you obey, He will relieve your pain, reveal your true value, establish your peculiar character and release your gift.

Fame, success and money do not satisfy the need of inner peace and fulfilment. Anything that is not the will of God is sin. To be able to come to rest, you have to align yourself with the will of God. Any contrary is a wasted time of life. ‘How can I make this possible?’ Ruth asked. You are about to learn how, THE JOURNEY BEGINS! ———————To be continued.

    Hi Kyrian,

I really think you get to the heart of the matter in this passage from your novel. My heart was really blessed by it, especially your line: “As you place your trust in Christ, God takes all of Christ’s righteousness and clothes you up in it.”

May God continue to bless you in your ministry.

    Yours in Christ,
    DT Richards.
