What has stolen your joy lately? Bad friends, Government policies, Merchant devices, Oppressors, Wrong Spouse, Delinquent Parent, Untrained Children, Bad Institutions ———–. Well! I have good news for you. You can still get your joy back. The real joy is in Holy Spirit. Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit settles it. No one can still this kind of joy! No!! Not even adverse circumstances or devil. Adam just had a free pass, enjoying free fruits. When you sweat for your fruit, you will appreciate it the more and also protect it. No pain, no gain! However, Jesus had made it very easy for us. The Scripture stated: ‘And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.’ (Deuteronomy 8:3).

To get to this level of joy, you must submit yourself for sanctification. Yes! Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour is passing a common entrance into the Kingdom School. Your sanctification entails the kind of Degree you come out with. Jesus prayed, ‘I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;’ (John 17:15-20).

You may not understand it now but I have found out that bitterness helps you appreciate what is sweet. But you need to forgive first and also ask for God’s forgiveness because no one is without sin. Joseph is a sensible man. The Scripture noted, ‘And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.’ (Genesis 50:19:21).

You may be surprise to know that these elements militating against your joy may be working for your good. The Scripture made it clear by what transpired between Jesus and Pilate. ‘Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.’ Of course we cannot explain why certain things ought to happen but our solace should be that Daddy is in total control and will surely workout all things for our good. I will tell you one secret I found out! Devil enjoy seeing you cry. I am not advising you not to grieve when it is tough but do not let the devil dance for too long. God bless you precious one!
